Today, November 1st, is the first day of National Novel Writing Month (aka NaNoWriMo). I went to a lovely workshop about it at the American Book Center Treehouse in Amsterdam yesterday. The challenge: draft a novel (about 50,000 words) in one month. It’s like fear factor for nerds. I think I’m going to try this. I have a horrible lack of discipline when it comes to writing, so I could use the excercise. I don’t think I’m going to end up with a blockbuster; then again, no one gets a treadmill to win a marathon.

So, it’s mashup weekend again. This time it’s also Immuzikation weekend because I friggin love his work. (He did the great Yelle vs. Weezer Mashup from a few weeks ago.) Strangely enough, I think all the titles to these songs apply to NaNoWriMo. The last one only works with the theme because he samples the Reading Rainbow theme song.
