The More You Know: New York Edition

Here’s a list of places in New York with Anglicized Dutch Names:

Flatbush
Brooklyn
Midwood
Bedford-Stuyvesant
Boerum Hill
Lefferts Manor
Coney Island
Gerritsen Beach
Gowanus
New Utrecht (duh)
Red Hook

Bed- Stuy, Boerum, Lefferts, and Gerritsen are all family names, but the rest are from words.
I haven’t even begun to look at Manhattan.

CIEE = prof. hot mess all the time.

Um, I think the Dutch just don’t like to tell us things, I never heard a thing about scaffolding. I don’t know if it ever went up this end of the building (though I heard a lot of commotion the other day at 7 AM) but I just got back, so who knows.

P.S. Did you see that it appears they are filming across the canal, wtf?
